Face your fear and fang it!

Nicky Mih has had quite an extraordinary life thus far, and has made every moment count. She has taken this adventurous attitude and used it to make a difference in the world through her ‘Free to Shine’ charity.  Today when we were talking about this I mentioned how fear can hold us back.  Nicky replied that with many of the things she had done she was terrified.  “It’s not that I didn’t feel the fear, I just acknowledged its message and took the necessary precautions to support me in doing what I felt I wanted to do”, she said. I love the whole idea of life being an adventure, a journey of curiosity, of flexing and expanding, of stretching and growing.  It is about owning your fears/doubts and using them to propel you into the next extraordinary version of yourself.  So if you want to fang into life and let your light shine, so bright I hope it blinds people consider Nicky’s 7 tips on leading and inspired life.

  • Do what matters most.  What one thing will make the difference this moment, this day, this month, this year.
  • Quieten your life of noise – simply for your life of distractions so you can hear your higher wisdom.
  • Spend time in nature – reconnect and re-energize.
  • Live a life of adventure – get insanely curious.
  • Contribute to the world in a way that is aligned with your heart and soul.
  • Come from a place of love – there is no higher energy or intention.
  • Shine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what is your compelling reason to feel the fear and do it anyway?  What will it take for you to ‘jump’ and ‘fly’?   What holds so much compulsion for you that you stare your fear down and rejoice in the freedom that brings? What small change in your attitude would give you the impetus to take that first step?

Personally I can think of a number of wishes that I have kept on the back burner because my attitude hasn’t supported me in attracting the things I need to see it happen.  Perhaps an attitude adjustment is in order! How about you?
